The Family School is dedicated to providing the best possible education to our students, preparing them intellectually, emotionally, socially, and ethically for productive lives in the 21st century. As an independent school we value highly our ability to choose the curriculum, texts, schedules, and methodology that seem, in our considered and experienced opinion, to be the most effective in giving our children this solid foundation for a lifetime of learning. Without state and federal monies, we are entirely financed by tuitions and various categories of donations. The income from our tuitions, which we strive to keep as affordable as possible, covers only approximately 75-80% of the annual operating costs of the school. We depend on our annual Family School Auction and the generosity of our families and friends in our Annual Fund drive to close this gap.
We also have two special funds which are entirely supported by contributions: our newly established Scholarship Fund, an endowment-type fund which generates income to augment our long-standing tuition assistance program, and our Path to the Future, in which individuals may buy dedicated bricks, with proceeds going directly to professional development for our wonderful faculty.
